Thanks to everyone for their support with our effort in raising money for the ABTA event! We passed our goal and donated over $1000 in memory of pop for brain tumor research.
The event day was really cold and windy--with temperature in the 30s when we arrived at Montrose beach. Thankfully, the sun came out and temperatures climbed just before the start. A few of us opted to run--Cate, Scott, Richard, Claire and Bethany--I think as a way to warm up quicker. There were so many people, 5,500 I think was the registered number, 900 of which ran.
When the joggers were done, they went back and found the rest of the team, and all walked together. Was a very good day, and we all had fun!
Can't wait to see more people out next year!
